This lesson teaches you how to use underwater targets to achieve better head down/streamlined body posture for effective swimming movements in young children. 

You'll watch a six-minute video, then take a short quiz. 

In order for swim instructors to access the course for free, SAI Training Centers must first purchase the Program Package: Targeting Inservice and Parent Education.

Objectives

1. Recognize how to establish a target and set a reward.

2. Identify effective timing for a reward. 

3. Use a hand, arm or toy as a “target” to help a child achieve a head down, horizontal body position and propulsive swimming movements.

4. Perform two basic launches toward a target.

Information we collect

 

We collect personally identifiable information that you provide to us. Personally identifiable information is information that tells us who you are such as your name and your e-mail address and any Training Center affiliation. We may collect this information when you register to use the SAI eLearning site and when you update and/or modify information.

Use of your information

 

We use personally identifiable information for the purpose for which it was provided to us. For example, we may use the information you submit when registering for a course to establish your online learning account, to send you information about how to access your course, and/or to contact you directly about products or services that you may be interested in. We may also use personally identifiable information to send you e-mails about a course, respond to e-mails, provide customer support, and other similar matters.

We may use non-personally identifiable aggregate information to help us run and maintain the Site, study traffic patterns and generally learn about how learners are using the SAI eLearning site. We may also use such information for purposes of system administration, to improve the design and content of SAI eLearning, and/or to enable us to personalize your eLearning experience.

Except as provided in this Privacy Policy, (a) we do not sell, rent or trade with unaffiliated third parties any personally identifiable information that you provide to us through the SAI eLearning Portal, and (b) we do not share such information with third parties.

We may disclose personally identifiable information about you to third parties who we have a training agreement with, to verify your training status, and who agree to maintain such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may acquire, sell or change our affiliation with other organizations or engage in other business purchases, sales, or affiliations. In such transactions, personally identifiable information is sometimes one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to any pre-existing Privacy Policy. 

We may disclose non-personally identifiable information in aggregate form to third parties including, without limitation, advertisers and business partners.

Accessing your information

If you are a registered user, you can access, change, correct, and update your personally identifiable information that you provide through your user account.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to personal information. However, although we employ such safeguards, information transmitted on the Internet and/or stored on systems connected to the Internet is not 100% secure. As a result, we cannot ensure, warrant or guarantee the security or integrity of such information.

While you are using the SAI eLearning site, you may be linked or directed to other third party sites outside of the site that are beyond our control.
